I just listened to Inside Out Weight Loss podcast and she talked about Success Journals and what an impact that can have on your life. I am going to start doing that in these journals.
I feel very successful in dealing with my food today. My b/f is a total foodie - he's an incredible cook and loves fine dining as well. We went out for Valentines on Tuesday to one of the best restaurants in SF and THEN he decides to cook an incredible Valentines Day dinner tonight (he surprised me). I love him dearly and I love his food, but boy, does he make it challenging to eat lightly!!! I feel like I did rather well - went over the 1200 calorie limit, but not by much. And you shoulda seen this meal! incredible lobster, prawns, saffron risotto, asparagus baked in olive oil, fabulous ice cream.
My other success is actually signing up to sponsor a woman in the Congo. I've been wanting to do something - those women are so brutally raped and tortured and then abandoned by their families. I keep seeing reports about the Congo, Darfur, Afghanistan - I can't imagine how horrible it must be. A woman there could start and maintain a business that sustains her and probably many people with the money that I spend at Starbucks every months. Its time for me to start giving!! Anyway, I signed up at http://www.womenforwomen.org/. I figured if ex Prez Clinton endorsed it, it must be a good thing.
Anyway, I feel this is part of my healing my issues around food - get out of my own drama and have compassion for others where its really needed in the world.
