I've avoided asking this for the longest time. Does anyone have advice or tips on handling a binge disorder???
I've been able to control it a lil here and there but through crash diets and trying to starve myself after eating too much. I do try very hard to eat clean and healthy but I tend to fail and eat everything I can find no matter how full or how much I actually hate what I am eating. Living in a household with 5 brothers I can't exactly get rid of the junk food in the house by myself either because it's not my decision to make. I've tried eating these things in moderation but I somehow just end up eating 10 times more. any help???😷

I have this same problem, I sometimes feel like when I am stressed or sad I just cant stop eating. I discovered that I often mistake anxiety feeling in my stomach for hunger and that’s why I binge because no matter how much I eat, I can’t get rid of that “hungry” feeling. But if you can learn to recognize it and pin point that it’s anxiety and not hunger, you can try manage it. Another thing that really helped me was this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rkQab5RT2dc In particular, the part where he says: all you have to worry about is making the correct decision right now, then you never have to worry about later or tomorrow, just keep focusing on making the correct decision that’s right in front of you.

Have u tried banting or putting ur body into ketosis. The high amount of fat in the diet makes it next to impossible to binge.

Try adding Neurobion - vit B 12 supplement

Make a cup of tea with no milk or sugar, i find that quite filling, and its very low in cal. Even coffee 😊

Have you tried to consult a therapist for this? It could be helpful to find the underlying cause of this binging which may go back as early as your childhood. A therapist could help you find the root cause and maybe come up with tools to manage them. This is a friendly suggestion, I may be wrong but if it becomes unmanageable I think it's worth looking at different options such as this one. Obviously I would get a referal for someone who specializes in eating disorders.

If you haven’t had enough sleep your mind would want to binge on carbs to get more energy.Don’t restrict yourself too much .Try the ketogenic diet where you use healthy fats as an alternative energy source to carbs,the high fat intake would make it easier for you to stay fuller for longer,and when you are in ketosis your body learns to break down your fat faster.Try and use the H.A.L.T method for when you feel like you want to binge .It all adds up to you,don’t say “screw it!” and start bingeing,you won’t always have motivation or the strenght to resist bingeing this is where you need self discipline.Remember your goals don’t care how you feel.🦋💕
