Exercise too can help you break through a plateau. Spend 30 minutes walking each day, and stick to the diet and it'll start moving down again

Glad to see your able to wear other outfits. I'm with ya as well on the plateau's !!!!! Seem to have hit a plateau as well - albeit a slight one, I keep bouncing a bit back and forth prior to weigh in days it seems. Been about 2 weeks for me ---really beginning to tic me off..... i've been playing with meal plans and exercise routine changes so hoping this is the week for me to break through as well. if you are at a plateau, your body has adjusted to your calorie intake, you can ether raise calories, fast for 48 hours or slightly up calories (maybe 300 for a day), if you are inactive (you don’t work out at least a real hour) you’re missing a great opportunity to do so, especially if you’re passed 40; you’ll get faster results, that’s where you will get them. If you are working out, then you definitely need to up your protein because your body is trying to make more muscle and the protein you are consuming is only giving it enough for maintaining what you have. I recommend coffee (or any non-caloric caffeinated beverage) with heavy whipping cream, MCT oil (liquid or powder), and/or ghee/butter -- like "Bulletproof Coffee®" recipe. It doesn't break a fast, helps burn fat, quiets hunger twinges. I wouldn't be able to fast without it!

You got this! Do what ever you feel you want to do as long as you stay true to your new lifestyle. Plateau’s are mentally hard on us, however know we are all in this together and as long as we don’t give up, we will get through our plateau’s one way or another. Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks everyone! All of your advice is spot on. I have been walking 15+ miles a week for the past month until this past week due to weather. Just ate some protein before going to Mass. Just 4 oz. burger. Broke a 26+ hour fast. I will weigh again Monday morning. Have a great weekend and thanks for the support!

I usually start a fast by drinking whatever liquids I want for a day or two. I can still lose weight during that. If you go hard core and do water only I have lost up to 3 pounds a day. However, and I can not stress this enough, if you go hard core, water is life or death and maximum exercise is the key.
